Certain words within your terms and conditions or your cover Summary have a particular meaning shown below. Each time we use one of these words it will have the same meaning:
You/your: the permanent occupier of the property as recorded on your cover documents and your spouse/partner and family who live with you.
Plumbfix, Drainfix and Heatfix: part of Plumbfix Services, 31 The Ridings, Addlestone, Surrey, KT15 1DR.
Easycover: part of Plumbfix Services, providing 24 hour callout service for a variety of plumbing, drainage and heating Problems. This is not to be confused with insurance, you agree to make 1 + 11 (12 in total) payments month by month to cover you (not including the setup fee). Direct debits will be taken 7th or 21st day of each month after signing, than on a monthly basis. Credit cards will be debited on date of signing than monthly thereafter. The setup fee equals the same amount of each monthly payment.
Property: The private dwelling, garage and domestic outbuildings (excluding sheds, greenhouses, non–permanent structures and garden areas) all within the property boundary at the address shown on your documentation. It must be your permanent home and owned and solely occupied by you or your family as a private residence with no business use. Water damage or blockages originating at other another address are not included as part of your cover e.g. a neighbour in a flat above you has a leak from his bath coming through your ceiling is the responsibility of that neighbour. Bedsits, let and sub–let properties are not covered under these terms and conditions. Council and housing association tenants will not need this service.
Cover extends up to 3 bedroom house, with one main bathroom and cloakroom.
Emergency/ies: sudden and unforeseen damage to the internal plumbing or drainage which immediately:
exposes you to a risk to your health; or creates a risk of loss of or damage to the property; or makes the buildings uninhabitable.
Internal plumbing, heating and/or drainage: the water pipe work, water storage and drainage systems for which you have responsibility inside the buildings of your property or within the property boundary. Excludes the underground water main until its clear entry within the property.
Uncontrollable emergency: an internal plumbing heating or drainage emergency where you are unable to temporarily stop the incident from causing further immediate damage within the home (i.e. by turning the water off, containing the leak or not using the affected facilities).
Emergency repair(s): repair work by a plumbing or drainage engineer authorized by Plumbfix Services to identify and/or eliminate the emergency.
Exclusion period: To prevent claims for pre–existing problems (and therefore to reduce monthly instalments), in your first year with Easycover, there is an initial 7 day period when you are not covered unless you agree to a reduced callout fee. The date from which you are able to make a claim is shown on your Cover Summary under 'Period of Maintenance”. Providing you renew before the expiry of your policy, the exclusion period does not apply after your first year of cover.
The cost of cover is the total amount you pay as detailed in your cover documentation, which consists of the setup and Administration Fee and 11 further premiums. The setup and Administration Fee is the amount you pay for arranging and administering the cover, and the premium is the amount you pay for the cover contract. These arrangements do not affect the amount that you pay for your cover or the service that you receive. References to "Easycover" and "Cover" in all documents include services within the cover provided for each service. Setup fee is £3.50 plus administration fee being the equivalent amount of one monthly premium.
Your cover premium will be reviewed upon renewal. Any claims made will also be considered within the review. Any amendments to the cover premium will be confirmed on your cover Summary approximately 28 days before the expiry of your Easycover.
Returned Direct Debit payments will result in additional charge of £11.50 for each failed or returned payment. Non easycover calls cost of a plumbing heating or drainage call out is outlined by the engineer when the call is made. Cost is by the hour, first hour in full, then incremental billing is calculated per 1/3 of each hour thereafter. Delivery and materials collection, maximum of 1 half hour is added.
This cover is arranged and administered for you by Plumbfix Services Easycover, 31 The Ridings, Addlestone, Surrey, KT15 1DR. Plumbfix will arrange and administer your cover and agree service standards for the delivery of the cover provided by the terms and conditions. If Easycover/Easycover plus does not provide the service you need, you should return your cover Summary to Plumbfix at the address shown below within 21 days of the cover start date and your premium will be cancelled/refunded in full, provided no claim has been made (excludes setup fee). Please note that your statutory cancellation rights, which run for 14 days and begin at the end of the 7 day exclusion period (if applicable), are included within this 21 day period.
The minimum period for which you may hold this cover is 12 months. Plumbfix will arrange for collection of Easycover premiums in accordance with your instructions. If you fail to make a payment on the due date, we will attempt further payment. Should 2nd payment be returned your cover will be suspended immediately and during this period you will not be covered. Easycover will notify you in writing within 10 working days if you fail to make a payment. If you do not pay in full within 30 days of the due date, your policy will be cancelled. Any outstanding payments will be requested and upon receipt of cleared funds your cover will restart.
Plumbfix reserve the right to cancel this cover by giving you at least 7 days notice at your last known address. If Easycover cancel the policy, Easycover will refund your setup fee if cancellation occurs within the first 45 days, unless a claim has been made which will result in the full annual premium settlement.
Plumbfix will contact you in writing/email before your cover expires to arrange renewal of your cover. Easycover also reserve the right to refuse renewal of any individual Easycover service.
You are responsible for informing Easycover of a change of your address so that cover can be transferred to your new property. Please phone 0800 056 7988 to advise Easycover of your new address or write to the address shown below.

If you suffer an emergency relating to your internal plumbing heating or drainage at the address on your terms and conditions, you should call us on the 24 Hour Claims Number on your easycover Summary. We will then:
Attempt to advise you of how to protect yourself and the property immediately while awaiting assistance; organise and dispatch on your behalf an approved plumbing or drainage engineer to carry out the emergency repairs that are immediately necessary to: protect you against risk to your health; make the buildings plumbing and drainage of the property safe or isolated.
There can be a maximum of 4 claims under Section A during the period of cover stated on your cover summary under Plumbfix and or Heatfix and 2 claims for external Drainage or 4 claims for internal drainage. The cover limit stated in Section A includes the cost of call–out, labour, materials and VAT. The maximum amount we will pay under section A of this cover, arising from any one event is £200 including VAT.
In the event of an emergency, covered under Section A, we will carry out an emergency repair/isolation unblocking. We will not cover any other repair work that may be required in addition to the emergency repair, such as: repairs required to avoid the problem re–occurring; or to ensure your plumbing and drainage system is restored to an adequate functional standard for ongoing use; or any normal day–to–day maintenance work. For example, a leaking water tank will be drained to alleviate the emergency of water escaping through the home but the leaking tank will not be repaired or replaced.
In the event of an uncontrollable emergency within your home, if an engineer does not arrive at your property within two hours of notification, Easycover will inform you of the nature of the delay and notify you of the arrival time.
If you suffer an emergency relating to your internal plumbing heating or drainage at the address on your terms and conditions, you should call us on the 24 Hour Claims Number on your easycover Summary. We will then:
organise and dispatch on your behalf for an approved plumbing or drainage engineer to carry out the emergency isolation and repair/replacement that are immediately necessary to:
protect you against risk to your health; make the buildings plumbing and drainage of the property safe or isolated.
includes the cost of call–out, labour, materials and VAT. The maximum amount we will pay under Section B of this cover, arising from any one event is £200 including VAT.
With easycover plus you are covered as within Section A, in addition, we will endeavour to repair the item or source a suitable cost effective replacement. Any items which require spares to fix items will be ordered if unavailable on site.
All permanent repairs are guaranteed for as long as you choose to remain an Easycover plumbing/drainage customer.
Scale and fat removal using high pressure jetting may be used to reinstate Drainage pipe work; site surveys and CCTV are not included. Should major damage be detected and relining is required, an estimate for repairs can be prepared at no extra cost.
We will not repair damage caused by:
Malicious vandalism, wilfully by the occupant or member of that occupant’s family.
Guests of yours at your property
Tradesman who is carrying out works at your property.
Poor workmanship within the plumbing drainage or heating system which contravenes current Water Regulations, Building Regulations or which fails to comply with Gas/Electrical safety.
Lead pipework for water or waste
We will not be responsible for:
Electrical supplies
Painted, finished surfaces, carpets or tiled areas (unless damaged by us). Damage caused to directly accessing the fault will not be our responsibility. We will endeavour to leave the site clean and tidy and make the area safe after completion.
The water main in any part prior to first entry into the property building at the internal stopcock.
Repairs inaccessible due to building fabric or kitchen cabinets built over plumbing pipework
